Devlin Macgregor Junket 2020 in Cancun Mexico Wraps Up with Fun in the Sun and Provasic Presales Up 250%

The 2020 Devlin Macgregor Annual Junket was our most successful in the events 34th anniversary. The conference and team building event was held in Cancun, Mexico at the luxurious Culo de Ratas Resort and Spa. We hosted a record number of guests this year, 134 in total. The VIP and guest list was spectacular this year, with a virtual “who’s who” of executives at hospitals and insurance companies worldwide. Because of credible threats of executive kidnapping and abductions received in the weeks preceding the event, security and personnel screening was tighter than ever this year.

James Devlin, co-founder, was quoted in WSJ, “We are confident that pre-release sales bookings for Provasic during the conference is going to put Devlin Macgregor over the hump toward our goal of $7.5 Billion revenues this year”

Day One: Over 120 attendees for Co-founder James Devlin and VP Jack Gourdji presentation for inner city marketing plans in 2021
Day Two: Fun in the Sun! Managing Director or Non-GAAP Accounting (NGA) Rob Leeds, with help of Maintenace Technician Rudy Sarzo reeled in the winning catch – an 87 pound blue gill swordfish

The junket was not all fun-and-games however. Devlin Macgregor hosted 12 informational, technical and sales related breakout sessions over the three day event. Some sessions, such as “How to Get FDA Approval in Less than 24 Hours” and “Deep Dive into Extracting Maximum Profits from Non-Profit Organizations” were filled to capacity or standing room only. The events were also securely live-streamed to authorized guests who could not attend the event or were not able to be seated.

On average, Devlin Macgregor books 25% of its annual presales at the annual junket conferences. This past year was especially successful, largely due to the upcoming general availability of our flagship product Provasic. Presales were up an astounding +250%, with direct sales channel total billings of at least $950 million.

The deep sea fishing expedition and Sailfish contest was the most popular activity this year, with a total of 69 participants and 22 catches. The grand prize of a $25 gift certificate to Pizzeria Uno was awarded to the team of Frederick Sykes and Dr. Alec Lentz, who battled for 90 minutes, finally hauling in a 178 pound Red-Gill Sailfish. In recognition of the first place winner, Devlin Macgregor made a twenty dollar donation to the Chicago Association for the Advancement of Children’s Health on behalf of the winners.

Due to credible threats received prior to the event, armed security was extra vigilant at the resort this year. Chicago Area Suspect Arrested for Weekend Break-in at Cook County Hospital Research Annex.

In December 2020, an industrial espionage campaign and concerted effort to sabotage Devlin Macgregor and it’s flagship product Provasic was uncovered. Evidence gathered showed that one or more individuals feigning as Medical staff, illegally entered the Devlin Macgregor research annex at Chicago’s Cook County Hospital to steal blood cytology and liver cell vivisections. The stolen samples were all from Provasic clinical trial registrants.  Dr. Kathy Wahlund, 39 and Dr.  Anne Eastman, 41, both medical residents at Cook County Hospital have provided extensive cooperation in the investigations of the burglarized test-results and cell samples.

Surveillance video from the lab in the Research Annex of at Cook County Hospital indicates that two perpetrators entered the facility disguised as maintenance staff, burglarizing Devlin Macgregor lab samples and leaving a trail of utter devastation in needless vandalization.
The Alphonse J. Capone Reseach Annex suffered over $3 million in damage when a fire was intentionally ignited, compounded by additional damage done from the deployment of the fire suppession system

Following leads gathered from the crime scene, as well as multiple tips that were recently phoned in, the Central-Metro Chicago Police Department arrested Desmondo Jose Ruiz, 44 of Naperville, Illinois.

According to Police, Ruiz claims he is the victim of a stolen employee identification card, and that unknown perpetrators used his credentials to break into the research annex to steal the lab test results, Ruiz told WCNX radio, “All I know is that I simply don’t know what happened …somebody’s obviously tamper [sic] with my card and changed the photo to frame me. I have nothing in this thing you say!”.

Employee ID card belong to Ruiz was discovered at the scene

My investigation leads me to believe this was an inside job by one or more hospital employees. Clearly these criminals knew exactly what they were looking for. The shocking amount of damage to both the office area and the lab was clearly done to cover their tracks. I will use all means necessary to bring these cowards to justice.
